It is my desire to express a measure of the gratitude I daily feel for what Christian Science has done for me. I was discharged from the great war in 1918 with chronic neurasthenia, a mental and physical wreck. I was in and out of a hospital until 1921 with no results. I had treatment from the best doctors that could be obtained, but I was in the same condition until 1925. My life was a blank; I was useless to myself and to all belonging to me.

One day my wife told me she had heard of Christian Science; and, knowing that I had tried all other things possible, I went to a Christian Science church in a near-by town and was introduced to a practitioner, who lovingly explained Christian Science to me and gave me a Bible and also "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. My wife helped me with my reading, and day after day I found myself improving, so that I could study the Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly myself. I stuck to this work, and in five weeks I was able to thank the loving practitioner who had given me the right thought that led me to the true idea of health and strength. It is now over six years since I took up the study of this Science, and I have not had a day's illness since.

I am so thankful for what Christian Science has done for me that neither pen nor words can express my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, and to the practitioner who so lovingly helped me.
