In 1911 Christian Science came to me when I was confined...
In 1911 Christian Science came to me when I was confined to my bed and the doctor had given me six hours to live. A Christian Science practitioner was called in, and in two days I was out on the street, a well woman.
About five years ago I was healed of pneumonia, and I have had many other wonderful healings. But I am at a loss for words to express my gratitude for a recent experience. It was my privilege to spend one month at the Christian Science Benevolent Association Sanatorium in San Francisco, California, and while there I was completely healed of two internal organic troubles which I had had since childhood. I was also healed of a severe nervous trouble. I shall never forget the love, kindness, and patience shown me by the nurses and associates during my stay there. I had the privilege and pleasure of hearing the first lecture delivered in the assembly hall in this Sanatorium; and while attending this lecture I was healed of a difficulty which had troubled me for several months.
I am indeed grateful for our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who so unselfishly made the way clear for these wonderful institutions, and I thank God for these blessings every day. I am also very grateful for class teaching, for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; and for the faithful work done by the loving practitioners who were ever ready and willing to help me in my struggle during many months.—(Mrs.) Edith A. Woods, Billings, Montana.
