Seven years ago I was taken ill with influenza which the doctors claimed left me with abscessed lungs. I was in the hospital at different times and was examined by at least thirty doctors, all of whom agreed that I must undergo an operation.

I was taken ill again, and a friend spoke to my father about Christian Science. He asked me to try treatments by a practitioner, and I did so. Then blood poisoning set in and I lost what little faith I had gained. Later, my old trouble returned with renewed force. My father appealed to another practitioner, who told me not to be afraid. The next morning I ate a good breakfast, and felt fine; within a week I was up and around. I can truthfully say that both my lungs were healed through Christian Science.

My heart is so full of gratitude for this healing that I cannot express it in words. I am grateful to our Father-Mother God, to our dearly beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and to the two practitioners who have helped us to understand this truth; grateful, also, for all the good that is coming to me from the Christian Science Sunday School.
