[Original testimony in German]

I thank God with my whole heart. So often the words have proved true which I heard when I first sought Christian Science: "Truth is strength, Truth is power, Truth overcomes error." Deeply impressed, and with a joy-stirred heart I went home, although I had not then grasped the profoundness of Truth. However, time taught me. What might does Truth possess, and how it destroys error I have often since experienced.
I want to write of two healings in particular. In 1928 my son became very ill with influenza. A doctor could do nothing, although the pain and fever were great. After eighteen days my boy told me the pain was unbearable, so I asked him if he would have Christian Science treatment, and he consented. I sought a practitioner and asked for help, but my message would not reach her before evening. That evening conditions were so very bad that they could scarcely be faced. I was quite calm, however, for I knew that at this time the Science work would be done, and that error must yield. About one o'clock my son fell asleep, and had the first night's rest in weeks. In the morning he was still fast asleep. Toward noon he asked for something to eat and told me that he had not the slightest pain. Three days later he went to work again without any weakness.
One day in the spring of 1930 I noticed two large bald spots on my head the size of a five-mark piece. I was greatly alarmed, and felt the hairdresser was to blame. I got in touch with a practitioner, and through this telephone call was reassured by her. Subsequently I received a letter from her which set me completely at rest, assuring me that there is no transmission of evil from one of God's ideas to another. For weeks I fixed my hair quickly so that I should not see the bald places and be overcome with any new fear; but to-day there is such an abundance of beautiful hair on my head that people remark about it.
