Patience

"Let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."—James 1:4.

If thou but learn to wait,
How great will be
The harvest gathered through thy work!
Thine eyes shall see
Life's joys anew
As Mind thy fear abates;
Then shalt thou learn to live!

For Truth and Love,
Thy buckler and thy shield,
Great peace and power impart;
Their new and sure control doth yield
Thee grace and strength
His sheep to feed,
And patience teach.
