As this Sentinel goes to press, The Christian Science Board of Directors is sending to the branch churches a letter in relation to the building of the new Publishing House. This letter is designed to be read at meetings of members of branch churches or to be made known to the members in some other way. From time to time the Directors may send other similar letters to branch churches to be read at the meetings they are holding in the interest of the building of the new Publishing House.

Christian Scientists who watch this column and the weekly article in The Christian Science Monitor will have up-to-date information of the progress of the erection of the new building.

The contract for waterproofing the concrete basement walls and floor has been let. The builders are constructing the concrete floor or mat (as it is called in the building trade) of the basement at one end of Building "B"—that which will contain the machinery. The floor will be put in at one end of the building while farther towards Massachusetts Avenue the concrete footings are being poured. Beyond that, excavation is going on and the office building at the extreme end on Massachusetts Avenue is being demolished. The total floor space of the basement is over sixty thousand square feet.
