[Original testimony in French]
In 1925 one of my brothers, who had been greatly helped...
In 1925 one of my brothers, who had been greatly helped by Christian Science, spoke to me of this teaching, which immediately appeared to me as being very logical. I commenced to attend the Wednesday evening meetings and Sunday services. I also bought the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. At this time I was a victim of sickness and had been for many years. I was suffering from a nervous difficulty and from pernicious anæmia in such an advanced stage that my organs no longer functioned properly. The stomach was particularly affected, and I could take only a few spoonfuls of semolina. I suffered a great deal, both physically and mentally, and my household also was very much troubled. I had been treated in several hospitals and nursing homes and by good doctors, but without result.
While I was reading Science and Health, the nervous condition gave place to one of joy and peace, and this difficulty appeared to be healed; but the stomach trouble did not grow better. This caused me to ask help of a practitioner, who gave it lovingly and successfully. She helped me to understand God's creation, and that man is the image of the all-harmonious Father-Mother God, as taught in the Bible and Science and Health. I learned that, being the image of God, man is incapable of manifesting that which is no part of God. I greatly appreciate the definition of God as Mrs. Eddy has given it.
I am grateful for the understanding and proof that Truth is applicable to the destruction of all error, under whatever form it may present itself, and that Truth, God, is everywhere. I am grateful, for now I am healed and can eat any kind of food without having any difficulty. I thank God for all the good I have received mentally and physically through the teaching of our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am very grateful to the practitioner who patiently helped me, for error seemed very persistent in my case. From the time I was treated I have never again felt any of the old symptoms, which proves that my healing is complete.
