Christian Science has been my Comforter for a number of years. Through the understanding of spiritual law gained from a study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, in connection with the Bible, many discordant conditions have been overcome, my disposition improved, and my trust in God established.

Christian Science brought me, with very tender ministrations, through a wilderness of grief, with its attendant physical disabilities, into the sunlight of happiness. During this time one verse of the Scriptures stood out like a torch signaling me: "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee." I realized that God had need of me in His vineyard, and I found happiness in serving others.

Since "the glory of the Lord" has indeed risen upon me in demonstration of the healing power of Christian Science, I am obeying His command to arise and let the acknowledgment of His goodness shine out as beacon for others. For quite a period of time I had only partial use of one of my arms. I asked for treatment from two consecrated Christian Science practitioners in turn; but, though faithful work was done by each. I did not regain the use of my arm until I realized that this was my own work and settled down to declare the truth of being for myself.
