All through the Bible we read of how divine consciousness directed those who were spiritually minded. In our time the selfsame truth is available to all who have a longing for higher things. In my life that spiritual impetus has proved itself to a remarkable extent. I was led to obtain a copy of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, by an irresistible spiritual influence which has led me in many ways.

Several years ago when in a large western city during a time of financial panic, I was out of funds and unable to obtain employment. In a truly wonderful way an opening was offered me in a far-distant country, with my transportation paid. In that place a situation presented itself whereby, through my realization of God's ever present care for His ideas, a disaster of far-reaching effect was avoided, thereby saving several other people, as well as me, from instant death. After a certain length of time I journeyed almost halfway around the earth, and was again directed in a similar way to obtain a good business position.

While going down some stone steps one day I lost my balance. My left foot shot forward, while my right leg bent itself up under my body. I held to verses from the ninety-first Psalm which flooded my thoughts, and my leg was righted through this spiritual aid. I declared that since I was constantly under the divine guidance, no stiffness, swelling, or discoloration could take place. An instantaneous healing was the result, with no bad effects whatsoever.
