Sometime during the world war I asked for Christian Science treatment for a very painful goiter, which was supposed to be hereditary. I could not eat or even swallow a drop of water. I had several treatments with some relief. At this time a Christian Science lecture was to be given in Minneapolis. The practitioner called me on the telephone and asked me to go. It did not seem as if I could, as I was in so much pain; but I said that I would try to go. I went, expecting that I should have to get up and leave. From the moment the lecturer began to speak, I forgot all about myself and was conscious only of the truth which was being voiced, explaining that man is spiritual and that all of the ills which come to the human race are false beliefs.

I went home and told what I could remember of the lecture. I was so filled with the truth that I did not realize until the next forenoon that I had eaten my breakfast without the least discomfort. I realized then that I had been healed at the lecture. It is needless to say how happy I was. My neck shows no indication of my ever having had a goiter.

I have had many other beautiful healings through Christian Science, and I am very grateful to God for having given to the world Mary Baker Eddy.
