Rouse Ye!

In times of so-called depression, when business conditions seem unsettled and the general topic of discussion is lack in its many forms, what a comfort it is to know that God's law of supply is ever operative, instant in its relief, loving and impartial in its ministrations, infinite in its power to destroy the belief of lack of any needful thing, of whatever nature!

Our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has written on page 225 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures": "A few immortal sentences, breathing the omnipotence of divine justice, have been potent to break despotic fetters and abolish the whipping-post and slave market; but oppression neither went down in blood, nor did the breath of freedom come from the cannon's mouth. Love is the liberator."

If "a few immortal sentences, breathing the omnipotence of divine justice," gave so glorious a liberation to an enslaved people, what might be done if the great body of Christian Scientists, encircling the earth, should rouse themselves to know that God's law of plenty can break the mesmeric fear of lack which is confronting almost the entire world! Every Christian Scientist, whether he is a beginner or one who has been a student for many years, is a minute man, alert to his duty and privilege to bring freedom to his fellow men. And it is for each one to do his part in healing the widespread problem of erroneous thinking. This may necessitate sacrifice of some occupied time, but every loving sacrifice has its reward in spiritual uplifting.
