Having received so much good through the study of Christian Science, I also wish to express my thanks for what it has done for me. My first healing was of grief. When our only child passed on, my husband and I were instantaneously healed. This proved to me completely what the Bible tells us, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

We now have two boys, and I am happy to say that Christian Science has healed them of colds, fevers, sores, quick temper, and sickness of various types; and the fear of sickness has been greatly overcome. Painless childbirth was experienced with the younger boy, now four years old.

A healing of one member of our family stands out as beacon light. After four operations, one for appendicitis and three for ulcers and a growth in the intestines, which is considered very dangerous and incurable, one of the best surgeons in this city refused to touch him; and after being passed from one doctor to another, all of whom said they could do no more, he lay helpless and suffering great pain in the hospitals for one year. All ways of healing a wound in the stomach failed. Two weeks after a loyal Christian Science practitioner took the case he left the hospital with the wound still open; and after three months of faithful work this healed beautifully. With this healing the desire for strong drink left, and the joy that was expressed was wonderful; for to us he was as one raised from the dead. He recently passed a medical examination as perfect. If Christian Science can do this for one, it can do it for all who honestly study the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and apply its teachings.
