Signs of the Times

[Evelyn White Michler, in the East Side Guardian, Los Angeles, California]

It takes a really big, worth-while man or woman to be able to forge ahead in the face of such obstacles as cause friends and loved ones to say: "You will have to give up. . . . It just can't be done." It takes a world of courage, but courage alone will not enable us to withstand the combined forces of lack of financial supply and persistent persecution on the part of enemies.

It is that wonderful, intangible something called faith which is bound to inspire success. . . . Not merely self-confidence, but faith in God. . . . A knowledge that God is ever preset and will meet our every need, and that God alone is the source of all supply. We must realize that the business or home which we are struggling to save is not really ours, but that it belongs to God and that we as His children cannot fail.
