[Written for the Sentinel]

Revelation

To-day I faltered;
But Love placed beside my hand
A rose,
That I might touch the petals,
Breathe its fragrance,
Rich with a message from His garden fair.

And lo! before my sight
There lay revealed
The whole of His creation,
Vast, boundless,
Calling men
To leave this mortal dream of life
And gather in the flowers of heaven,
To bless and heal mankind.
