As I have known of Christian Science for some time I, like many more, feel it my duty to make my testimony public, all the more so because a short time ago we were privileged to pass through some wonderful experiences.

Our little daughter was taken with whooping cough, and as my understanding of the truth was too slight for me to help her, I asked a Christian Science practitioner for treatment. I worked, too, to the best of my understanding, and read daily in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and our child was quickly healed.

A short time later two swellings appeared on her head. At first we did not pay much attention to them, but they continued to grow larger; and the child could not sleep, but kept crying. She was in great pain until they broke open, after which we thought she would get somewhat better. New ones, however, continued to appear, and the child grew worse; so we informed the same practitioner. I knew that the people around could not understand us, for they thought the child would die. But we were not afraid; for had we not always received help? Neither was our trust in vain, for the little one recovered immediately, and was soon completely healed.
