[Written for the Sentinel]

No Night

Here in the clear sweet morning light
Where are the cares that thronged the night?
And where the fearful things of prey
In light of day, in light of day?

Ah! praises be, thought born anew
Knows that the day alone is true,
Love's ever day, abiding fair,
With "no night there," with "no night there."
