For over twenty years we have been proving that the truth as taught in Christian Science heals. I am grateful that I knew something of Christian Science before there were children in our home, for it has been "a very present help" in caring for the two children we now have. They have experienced many of the so-called children's diseases and other discordant conditions, but Christian Science has met their every need.

I had sometimes wondered if I would be able to stand firm in case of an emergency, and when our daughter was three years old I was put to the test. A large kettle of boiling fruit juice slipped from the stove and poured over the child's head and shoulders. A Christian Science practitioner was called at once. There were weeks of patient work, but every discordant condition was met. The face healed without a scar, even the dark red coloring was finally replaced by a clear, natural color. The cords in the neck had contracted and hardened so that the child's head was drawn close to her shoulder; but this condition also yielded to the power of Truth, and when she awoke one morning she found that she could move her head freely. Instead of losing her hair, it grew heavier than before. This was a beautiful proof to us that divine Love does meet every need.

This healing is only one of the many demonstrations we have had in our home. I, myself, have been healed of extreme nervousness and many other complaints.
