My husband became very ill and four doctors decided nothing but morphine would keep him alive. In trying to rid himself of the desire for morphine, he commenced to drink whisky, something he had never done before.

Every day for two years, with the little understanding I was gaining through the study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I tried to realize the truth about the perfect man. Then early one morning, without saying a word to anyone, my husband went to a practitioner, asked for help, and was instantly healed. He never became a student of Christian Science, thinking he did not have the time. Two years ago he passed on under medical care, but said shortly before, "One thing I am sorry for, that I never had the courage to give my testimony, but am and always have been so grateful for that healing." For that reason I am doing so now, thinking it may help someone else.

I have had many demonstrations since that time, and am very grateful for all the experiences that have helped me to gain a better understanding of God and of His spiritual creation. I am deeply grateful for Christian Science; it has given me strength and courage to go forward in the hope of helping others to find this "pearl of great price."—(Mrs.) Estelle M.
