I want to add my expression of gratitude to that of others...
I want to add my expression of gratitude to that of others for Christian Science, for its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, and for all the activities of this new old religion of love.
One night, after an invalidism of a year, while trying to pray the best I could to God for help, these words came to my consciousness: "Try Christian Science." A few days later I went to see a practitioner. And my first glimpse of the new heaven and the new earth was received through these words spoken by the practitioner: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." That completely destroyed all the fears, ills, and sorrows. I took "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy home with me, and when I had read halfway through the book I took off glasses which I had worn for several years and which doctors had said I would always have to wear. The reading of Science and Health was the first reading I had been able to do for almost a year. I was also healed of extreme nervousness and its attending ills.
I want to give praise to The Christian Science Monitor, which is so clean and constructive. I am also grateful for membership in a branch church and The Mother Church; and for class instruction, which establishes us more securely in our understanding of the Christ, Truth.
