I am sending this testimony in the hope that it will help someone as Christian Science has helped me.

A few years ago I had a good deal of pain in my back and legs, and could not stand for more than a few minutes at a time. I sent for a doctor, who after examining me said he wished me to see a specialist. I saw one, but he said he could do nothing for me, and that I had only a month to live. I went to five specialists, all of whom said the same things, except one, who said an operation might give me a little longer to live. He also said I could never have any more children.

It was then that I was asked to try Christian Science. I smiled, and said that it was only for people who suffered from nerves, and would not be of any use in my case. However, after talking with a friend, I agreed to see a practitioner. She came to see me a little later, and was so comforting and reassuring that I promised to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which she left with me. I read it until bedtime, and felt such a sense of comfort and relief from pain that I fell asleep and slept till the early hours of the morning, a thing I had not done for some time. Having a good deal of pain when I awoke, I telephoned to the practitioner. In a very few minutes the pain left and I was asleep. In a few weeks I was able to get about and do more than I had ever been able to do before.
