I first met students of Christian Science in 1915, when another lady and I were taking a boat trip. Two ladies sat at the same table with us in the dining room, and in talking with them we learned that they were studying Christian Science. They impressed me very much on account of their being so broad-minded and progressive, and also so contented and happy. About a year later I met other Christian Scientists, and a year later I lived in the same apartment with a student of Christian Science. I did not take up the study myself until almost a year after this, and then it was on account of my loneliness and fear when my husband served in the war.
A short time afterwards I went to a Christian Science practitioner for help when in need of a position, and within a week had a very desirable one. A few weeks later I turned to this same practitioner for help to overcome influenza, and received my healing in a very short time.
I am also grateful that I have had Christian Science to teach my two little children, and that they have the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School. At the time of the birth of both children conditions were very harmonious, refuting the so-called material law held over me.
