I did not come into Christian Science through physical...
I did not come into Christian Science through physical healing, but because I felt the need of a religion; and not doubting Christian Science I commenced the study with a dear friend who taught me the way to read the Lesson-Sermon. Soon the desire for material remedies, which I had taken for years, was overcome; also, many difficulties were destroyed, some by the help of a practitioner, others by our own understanding of the truth. After three years of study, I awakened one morning in great pain. The ailment might have been called lumbago. A practitioner was called over long-distance telephone, and I immediately received help. With this experience came the desire to study the entire Lesson-Sermon each morning. On the third day as finished reading, the light of Truth flooded my consciousness, and the difficulty disappeared completely.
At all times, under the different conditions and circumstances which arise, I have found the overflow of God's goodness ever pouring forth for the use of His children. I have found that if I but gather up the fragments, there is a full supply, sufficient for all mankind. I am grateful to God for His wonderful goodness to the children of men.
