I have wanted for so long to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science that now I am availing myself of this opportunity to do so, with the hope that it will bless others. I took up the study of Christian Science in earnest shortly before beginning an arduous term in school. At that time I was wearing glasses for a severe case of astigmatism. Through constant study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and occasional help from a practitioner I was permanently healed, and the glasses were discarded.

I was also healed of a severe case of influenza. When it seemed that I was very weak and in complete mental darkness, suddenly a thought of God, of His goodness and love, came to me, and that instant I was healed. I have been beautifully helped to overcome seasickness by knowing that "the Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea." I also received great healing at the passing on of my father, who was under the care of doctors. The tears were literally dried in my eyes by the divine Comforter, and as our Leader says in Science and Health (p. 55), "This Comforter I understand to be Divine Science." For all these blessings and countless others I am deeply and sincerely grateful to our dear Father-Mother God, who has given us the true idea of Himself in Christian Science.
