I am very grateful for what I have proved of Christian Science...
I am very grateful for what I have proved of Christian Science and for the understanding I have of this truth. I am most grateful for the Bible, for "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the Church Manual, the Lesson-Sermons, also for membership in a branch church. Through the study and application of Christian Science I am learning the truth about God and man. I am so grateful to know that God is not in some far-off place, as I used to believe before taking up the study of Christian Science, but that God is everywhere, ever present, a God who meets all our needs; and this God has never failed to meet all my difficulties.
In the spring of 1926 I was stricken with what seemed to be a complication of internal trouble. There was much fear expressed around me because I would not have medical help. Through all the suffering, I knew there was only One to lean upon, and that was my Father-Mother, God. Whenever I heard the statement made that I should have the trouble diagnosed, these words would come to me as if a voice were speaking to me: If error is nothing, there is nothing to be diagnosed. This thought quieted the fear. Although the healing seemed very slow, I was grateful because it made me study, and it uncovered many faults of character. I have had no return of the trouble since that time, and enjoy better health than ever before.
I express my gratitude to the two practitioners who so faithfully helped me, also to the kind friends who stayed with me and did so much for my comfort. This is only one of the many healings I have had. I have been healed of bronchitis, nervous breakdown, and many other ailments. Christian Science has brought peace and harmony to my home. I am very grateful to all the practitioners and for every treatment I have received in Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Jessie McKenzie, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
