Love One Another

"The vital part, the heart and soul of Christian Science, is Love." So has our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, written on page 113 of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Upon this fundamental fact are based the practice and demonstration of Christian Science; and through understanding this in a measure, there is joy and progress to-day among those who are seeking to grow as students of Christian Science.

In his healing work Jesus was quick and persistent in casting out all forms of error; and as Christian Scientists we too must be alert and active in the same direction. Casting error out of our own thoughts and out of the thoughts of those who seek healing through the Christ, Truth, is, perhaps, what we should like to postpone or leave undone. But this cannot be; and we shall neither fear nor evade this phase of practice, if we realize the import of the sentence quoted above.

The destruction of error need not involve morbid probing into mortal thought, nor entail the discouraging process of sorrowful introspection. The earnest, faithful student of Christian Science should be learning every day a little more about God; and the understanding of God will surely destroy and cast out error as no other method can. Much needless suffering may be avoided through more love and clearer discernment of the truth.
