Lecturer: Charles E. Jarvis; introduced by Judge Samuel W. Greene, who said:—

The Bible tells us that the people received and heard Jesus gladly; that later the apostles were received and heard gladly. It is no wonder that the truth spread rapidly and accomplished wonders among a people that received and heard it gladly. This church was organized by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, to "reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing" (Church Manual, p. 17). We are gathered to hear a lecture by an accredited representative of this church; and his message will be made effective and useful to the extent that we receive and hear it gladly.
