Concord

ALICE DAVIS SHELMIRE

As starlit sky
And crystal pool
Unite in clear reflection,
So God and man
Inseparable
Are one in His perfection.

As towering tree
And slender reed
Obey the wind's persuading,
So to the law
Of God respond
All things of His creating.
