With deep gratitude I wish to testify to many blessings received through Christian Science. I was led to this Science in a wonderful way. As a schoolgirl I did not learn the English language, only French and German being obligatory in my school. Some years later it appeared to me it was not right to live in ignorance of this language. I consulted my husband, but he did not understand why I should begin to study English. He, however, bought me a dictionary. With a clever teacher my increased very much, and I continued to study.

A short time afterwards I heard for the first time of Christian Science. I had a desire to attend the services, but was not obedient to the call. After several years of suffering from a so-called incurable sickness, enteritis, I heard for the second time of Christian Science from a relative who had taken up its study. Dear friends also explained it to me in a helpful way as from I therefore turned to a practitioner, and was healed. Then I understood how lovingly I had been guided to the study of English, and I was so happy and grateful for this preparation which enabled me at once to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy in its original language. The truth contained in this dear and in the Bible now my daily food.

I hope that this testimony will be helpful in some seeker. And I am very greateful for class instruction, for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for church work.
