Through the study of the Bible and our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and our Leader's other writings, I have been able to gain a better understanding of God. We have had many proofs in our home of God's power to heal, to comfort, and to supply us with good. Our little children have experienced healings of measles, mumps, colds, fevers, influenza, whooping cough, diphtheria, boils, and many ills; some through own understanding, others through the help given by loving practitioners. I have been changed from a frail, nervous girl into a healthy woman. When I think of all the good that has come to us through Christian Science my heart overflows with gratitude to God.

We recently had a wonderful proof of God's love for His little ones. Our little six-year-old daughter awakened one morning with both eyes exceedingly inflamed and sore. We tried to deny this as best we could, but the condition seemed to grow worse until one night she cried so much with the pain that she could not sleep. Both children and I declared the aloud, repeating several psalms together and singing some of our beautiful hymns, and she fell asleep. The next day she could bear no light to reach her eyes, we turned to a dear practitioner, who lovingly helped us to realize the about God. A wonderful spiritual illumination came to me through this realization, as well as a complete healing for the child. In a few days every vestige of the trouble had disappeared, and her eyes were bright and clear.

Step by step, experience by experience, Christian Science draws us closer to God. Through this process of drawing closer we are enabled to drop our false beliefs and to experience healing. I am so that the privilege is mine to draw nearer to God and to receive daily proofs of His nearness to me, to mine, and to all.
