I am sincerely grateful that my attention was called to Christian Science. The doctor could not help me. He told me that I should never be able to work again; that my arm was paralyzed. Then I read several copies of Der Herold der Christian Science, and did not give up hope that I should be healed. I turned therefore to a Christian Science practitioner; and through our combined efforts and our confidence in divine Love, I experienced a wonderful healing. My arm is as well again as it was before. I am over sixty-three years old and once was deaf. I also suffered from shortness of breath, especially when the weather was very cold, when I could not go out at all; neither could I walk upstairs. The loving practitioner held faithfully to the truth for me, and I daily studied the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and hoped in God, who created man in His image, hence spiritual and perfect. My joy and gratitude can be imagined when one day I again heard tick. I was so happy that I at once wrote and told the practitioner about it, and she rejoiced with me. The troublesome cough and of breath have also vanished. Everything has become new, and my heart wells up with gratitude for God's goodness.
