recalling the experience of our Master, just prior to his betrayal and crucifixion, as recorded in the Gospel of Luke, we are reminded that upon his complete surrender of self, expressed in the prayer, "Not my will, but thine, be done," "there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

the thirty-seventh psalm we find a conditional promise the importance of which is perhaps not always realized by students of Christian Science: "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
So begins a familiar hymn.
It
is a trite saying that men are creatures of habit, easily adopting modes that meet their needs.
Much
is heard in the educational world of to-day about intelligence quotients, or, in other words, the measuring of intelligence.
