"Make channels"

"Make channels for the streams of love,
Where they may broadly run."

So begins a familiar hymn. Love's streams are forever flowing. "Make channels" for them! How does one make a channel? Usually by the removal of obstructions. An engineer may have to blast the bed of a river to deepen it sufficiently for navigation; likewise, Christian Scientists find that when they would "make channels for the streams of love," they must utilize the power of divine Mind to clear out the erroneous beliefs which clog their thought.
