On page 311 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy says: "God is Mind: all that Mind, God, is, or hath made, is good, and He made all. Hence evil is not made and is not real." It was with joy and gladness that I learned there was no reality in evil, that God never sent or made sin, disease, or death, but that all God, Mind, made is good.

It was through a severe illness of my husband that we were led to study this wonderful truth, after doctors had given him up. Through the loving help of a dear practitioner, gently and patiently we were led step by step to know God, to see the unreality of evil, and to know that the real man is indestructible. The relief was so great that it was as though chains dropped from my shoulders, and I was freed from a heavy burden. Divine Love does meet every human need; and the truth does make man free. Our need was met, and my husband was healed.

It was at the time we were striving to gain an understanding of God that I was healed of the need of wearing glasses, which I had worn for eighteen years. I wore two pairs, one for general use, the other for reading. Oculists agreed that in time I would be totally blind; and I nearly was, at two different times. Later, I was healed of dislocated hips of many years' standing. My eyes and hips are now in splendid condition, and I work and read more than I ever did, with no bad results. I have had beautiful healings of resentment, fear, and pride. I have learned wherever I may be to say with the Psalmist, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him." For these healings and many others I am truly grateful.
