Among the Churches

Current Notes

Orlando, Florida (First Church).—First Church of Christ, Scientist, Orlando, is now occupying its completed edifice on North Rosalind Avenue and Summerlin Place, facing beautiful Lake Eola and the park. The architect has embodied in this church some of the best modern ideas. Construction is of reinforced concrete and steel, and the exterior is faced with terra cotta weathered to a warm ivory. The roof is of moss green tile, with copper dome. A feature of the interior is a commodious foyer, floored with rubber tile of beautiful coloring. The main auditorium, seating about eight hundred, is reached by five wide stairways.
