It is difficult to find words adequate to express the gratitude we feel for Christian Science. Never shall we forget all that we owe to it, and how much it has done for us. We were so sad and depressed before knowing of it.

For six years my husband had been paralyzed by a spinal disease: he had been given up several times by doctors. Finally, after several X-ray examinations, the physicians decided to put him into a plaster cast. For eighteen months he remained in this cast on his bed without any result. It was after this long period of time that Christian Science was presented to us, in May, 1927. A loving and patient practitioner began treatment, and my husband was able to get up, at first for two hours each day. From week to week we saw progress, and to-day he can walk alone.

As a result of the paralysis a hard substance formed on the arch of his foot which prevented him from putting on his shoes. The surgeons had declared an operation necessary, but after one or two treatments in Christian Science this difficulty disappeared.
