Jesus said to Nicodemus, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." In "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 15), speaking of the new birth, Mrs. Eddy says: "The new birth is not the work of a moment. It begins with moments, and goes on with years; moments of surrender to God, of childlike trust and joyful adoption of good; moments of self-abnegation, self-consecration, heaven-born hope, and spiritual love," While we are thus being renewed, the healing work goes on. Sometimes the task is not an easy one; but when we are earnest and persistent, the Christ, Truth, may always be proved at hand to save.

I have had many healings in Christian Science, among them the healing of a continual cough and cold, sick headaches, biliousness, and have been freed from having an attack of lumbago every spring. These healings have all been brought about through the study of the Lesson-Sermons, and have all been permanent. A peculiar trouble which seemed to extend from head to foot on one side has also been met with loving help from practitioners. This trouble, being slow in yielding, kept me continually at my study of Christian Science; and my heartfelt gratitude goes out to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, for revealing to us this wonderful truth. The spiritual uplift and understanding I have gained through the study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy are worth more to me than words can express.

I wish also to express gratitude for membership in a branch church, and for the privilege of participating in its activities. —(Mrs.) Laura Erickson, Salt Lake City, Utah.
