It is with deepest gratitude that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science. It was for the healing of a loved one that I took up the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. While searching for the truth for this one I suddenly realized that I had been healed of a lameness of fifteen years' standing, of bronchitis of twelve years' standing, of sick headaches, backaches, and a violent temper. I had been a member of an orthodox church since childhood, had been reared in a home of prayer and Bible study, but did not understand the relation of God to man. This was one of the first truths unfolded to me in Christian Science. Why my church did not obey the command of Christ Jesus to "heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead," was the question which separated me from the church of my childhood.

I remained out of the church for ten years, clinging only to the Lord's Praver and a few psalms. I am grateful that through the teaching of Christian Science I can now read the Bible understandingly. I am thankful for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, and also in a branch church.

I have had many proofs of God's care in protection, healing, supply, and spiritual unfoldment. Some time ago I was suffering from a pain at the heart. This continued all night, though I had worked as we understand in Christian Science. At six o'clock in the morning I called a practitioner and asked for help. After one treatment I was immediately and completely healed, and have had no return of the complaint.
