Since my childhood I had always been sickly, subject to violent stomach attacks, followed by headaches and nausea; and almost every winter I was ill with bronchitis. I made several stays in different sanitariums, and tried different treatments, but without obtaining any appreciable results. In September, 1915, the physicians told me that they feared very much for my right lung. It was then I went to another sanitarium. After living there in the open air, I felt a little more reassured for two or three years. But in the spring of 1924, following a heavy cold, I doctored again with physicians without result. I then heard of Christian Science and appealed to it. With the aid of a dear practitioner, tenderly and lovingly given me, I was freed of this difficulty at the end of a few days' treatment.

In the autumn of the same year I had a very serious collapse. My family advised me to consult a doctor, which I did; but I did not take any medicine. The doctor had me undergo an X-ray examination. I was told there was a spot at the top of my right lung and that it was necessary to care for it. I returned to see the kind practitioner who had so well cared for me in the preceding attack. She gave me treatment in Christian Science; and I then learned that in Science man, as the reflection of God, divine Principle, is not subject to change, but is always perfect, and that consequently it was impossible for me to be sick, and that the false belief must be uprooted.

Two weeks later the cough stopped. I underwent another examination, and the doctors told me that the spot had disappeared and I no longer had anything to fear. I am exceedingly grateful for this demonstration. I am also very thankful for the spiritual uplift I have experienced in Science. Formerly I had looked for peace in churches of different denominations, but only Christian Science has shown me the truth, applicable to every problem in life, whether it be sickness or connected with our everyday living. I thank the practitioner who so splendidly helped me in the way of Truth. I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, who has again shown the way, and to Christ Jesus, our guide and Saviour, for the blessed peace that has entered into my life, which I had never before known.
