Truth Heals

JESUS states positively, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free;" and he also declared, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." In the light of these statements we have the assurance that Jesus knew Truth could heal in all ages as surely as in his own time! Men have always believed in the truth as a corrective; they have known that in mathematical problems a knowledge of the truth is ever sufficient to correct any mistaken sense of numbers; and in many another way they have trusted truth to annul falsities.

When Christian Science came, showing as it does that Truth is God, it revealed the method for correcting all evil, and for over sixty years it has been proving to the world that the power of Truth is sufficient to destroy every form of sin and disease. Christian Scientists rejoice that the Science of Truth has been reached, whereby they may avail themselves of its laws of health and holiness and so demonstrate their freedom from all error; and they thank God for their all-adequate textbooks, through which they may learn to understand and practice the rules of Christian Science.

There is no doubt but that every earnest student of this Science desires to avail himself of all that God has inspired Mrs. Eddy to give in the elucidation and for the richer unfoldment of this teaching in each individual's experience. In view of this the question sometimes recurs as to how many Christian Scientists are aware of the exceedingly helpful nature of the authenticated testimonies of healing in the Christian Science periodicals which our Leader has made it possible for us to enjoy and profit by.
