With a heart full of gratitude for blessings received in...
With a heart full of gratitude for blessings received in Christian Science, I should like to tell of some wonderful healings through reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
When I was a small child, a lumber wagon full of lumber ran over me. I was picked up for dead, and it was some time before a doctor could be found. He worked all day pressing my body into shape, and apparently found every organ injured. Years of suffering followed under the care of many physicians. Finally, after futile operations, two eminent surgeons and two specialists held consultation and told me they could do no more for me, and expressed surprise that I could have lived so long in the last stages of intestinal tuberculosis. I had suffered also from heart leakage, lung trouble, gallstones, stomach and bladder trouble, nervousness, blinding headaches, weak eyes, pleurisy, salt rheum, and a floating tumor which closed the outlet of the stomach at times so that no food could be eaten for days at a time; and this occurred very often, until I was a skeleton. All these healings have been permanent, and many more healings have been added to my blessings through the study of the teachings of Christian Science.
Some of my healings were very slow; but I am grateful for this, as it kept me studying faithfully. I am grateful to the loving friends who helped me to gain a demonstrable knowledge of this beautiful truth that Jesus taught and Mrs. Eddy rediscovered. Such healings as mine should be positive proof that there is nothing which Christian Science cannot heal.
