With a deep sense of gratitude to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and to the God of love this Science reveals, I offer this testimony of its healing power. A few years ago a wen appeared on the top of my head. At first it was very hard, and it grew larger for some months. I applied Christian Science to the best of my understanding. I remembered that as a child I had seen an aunt with one in the very same place, so that the argument of fleshly inheritance at times was very strong. The argument also came, You need not try Christian Science, but should have it removed with the knife. Patiently and perseveringly and persistently I clung to my rightful inheritance as the child of no lesser parent than God. Finally, one day I felt water trickling down the side of my face, and found that the wen was disappearing. My scalp is perfect; no sign remaining that the wen was ever there. Christian Science has been my only physician, my only religion, for twenty years; and for all the healings and blessings which have come to me in this period of time I am truly thankful.
