Gratitude

ANITA WELLS

For peace—the fruit of knowing Thee as All,
As Life divine, which never dies,
As Truth, which frees from mortal lies,
As Love, sublime, which satisfies
And lifts us high above the world of strife,
Which stills our sorrow, pain, despair,
Eliminates all anxious care,
And guides our feet from evil's snare;
For peace, the fruit of Truth and Love and Life,
O Thou almighty One above,
Accept our gratitude and love!
