Gratefully and joyously I give testimony to the healings...
Gratefully and joyously I give testimony to the healings in our family through Christian Science. For more than fifteen years I suffered from a serious stomach and nervous complaint. Two doctors had treated me, but without success. This seeming complaint grew worse, until I could eat only milk and eggs, and I seemed to be near starvation. In this great extremity a woman came to our house and asked me if I would not like to try Christian Science. She herself had faced a possible operation which meant life or death to her, and Christian Science had saved her from the necessity of undergoing it. My daughter called on the practitioner the following day, and asked her to help me. The beautiful explanation of God and man was a great revelation to me. Joyous confidence took the place of despair. The practitioner took me to her home, and on the second day I could eat everything; and in three weeks I was completely healed. Feeling twenty years younger and healthier, I was able to return to my dear ones. Decrepitude has nothing in common with God as Life.
My daughter has also had a beautiful healing. For twenty years she was obliged to wear glasses, and in spite of them could not see well, because her eyes were so weak. She was advised to undergo an operation, but she too received help from the same practitioner, who explained God to us as the only source of true light.
We are profoundly grateful for this wonderful knowledge of God, and are striving to practice it in daily life.—
