About nine years ago I became dissatisfied with the various material remedies for a number of ailments that appeared to be troubling me. About that time I came across some literature referring to a book called "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Being desirous of learning what this book contained, I sent to the publishers for a copy. After the arrival of the book I devoted all the time possible to studying its contents, and found it to be a "peal of great price." I soon observed that many of the seeming ailments had disappeared; but, later on, one of them—stomach trouble—again appeared. For this I asked help from a dear practitioner, which was lovingly given, and after receiving treatment I was free from this also. Sometime later I had a severe case of neuralgia in the head, and being unable to overcome this I again asked help from the same practitioner; and shortly afterwards the pain vanished into its native nothingness. For these wonderful healings I give thanks to God.
I am more grateful than words can express for the wonderful truth found in Science and Health. It is my daily help, supplying the wisdom to meet every problem. I am also grateful for the periodicals and all the other activities of the Christian Science church; for membership in The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts; and for the great privilege of class instruction. For all of the blessings received I am very grateful to God; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, who made it possible in this day and age to discern the Christ, Truth, as with us. I also thank God for the loving practitioner and for the wonderful help received by me in my time of need.—
Thomas Cottle, Green River, Wyoming.
