About eight years ago, while seeking help for a physical...

About eight years ago, while seeking help for a physical difficulty that had supposedly been met previously by an operation, I found myself back where I had started, and was told I must undergo another operation. On hearing a little of Christian Science and being willing to know more, I was led to visit a Christian Science practitioner. She lent me a copy of "The Life of Mary Baker Eddy" by Sibyl Wilbur, and told me to purchase the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, which I hastened to do. I have surely never regretted it. I am trying to live so as to let my light shine, that I may be able to help others as I have received help. First colds, then headaches, were overcome. But the difficulty for which I had taken up this study, and which seemed to me so real, was not healed immediately. It took study and practice of what I had read, by being more loving toward my fellow-men and by overcoming self in a large degree, to do this. On another occasion, when abscesses formed in my ears, they were healed overnight without any pain whatsoever. This healing took place about four years ago.—
