No one could be more grateful to Christian Science than...
No one could be more grateful to Christian Science than I, and I give this testimony to help others along the road. I came to Science as a last resort, after doctors and surgeons had failed to cure me of what they called an incurable intestinal disease that I had had since I was a schoolgirl. Since then, through Christian Science, a sprained ankle has been healed in four days, influenza and bronchial pneumonia have been quickly overcome, also ptomaine poisoning.
Another beautiful healing came lately. For several days I felt a queer, painless sensation across my face. One afternoon while out walking I noticed I could breathe freely through my nose, as I had never done before. I was so surprised that I looked in the glass, and behold! my whole face had broadened and every tooth in my mouth was straight. When I was quite young a dentist straightened some of my upper teeth, but the lower ones were always very crooked and my whole arch very narrow. With this mental surgery, my arch was widened, the bones stretched, and my teeth all moved without a bit of pain, certainly proving that there is no sensation in matter. I am so grateful and happy for this wonderful demonstration!
I cannot begin to tell all that Christian Science has done for me, and I am very grateful, especially to our Leader. I am also grateful for membership in a branch church in Chicago, for membership in The Mother Church, and for class instruction.
