I came into Christian Science over eleven years ago after trying every material remedy for the healing of a running sore on my foot. With no faith, but to please a dear friend, I was taken by car to the home of a practitioner. The practitioner spoke to me of the truth, and then she asked me to read the ninety-first psalm while she worked and prayed for me. After she finished the treatment the pain seemed just as severe, but I felt a great sense of love. Then she asked me if I could spend the afternoon reading, and said that while she was not busy she would explain God's healing power. This was done, and at five o'clock I walked seventeen blocks, free from pain. This trouble was thought to be tuberculosis of the bone. I can gladly say I have never had a return of it.

Chronic tonsillitis and chronic stomach trouble were overcome for my daughter. These had been of several years' standing. The seven-year itch, constipation, large seed warts, colds and cold sores, headaches, cramps, chills, pleurisy, and hemorrhoids have been healed, generally in two or three treatments, just by declaring the truth as taught in Christian Science, or with the help of a practitioner.

I should like to relate the healing of a severe case of whooping cough. A few weeks after my first healing, the children were sent home from school on a Tuesday with a terrible cough. I started to cough, too, and was very miserable. On Saturday night I had a severe coughing spell. When it was over, the "still small voice" of God said, Can't you let God heal you? I called the practitioner and said: "I want God to heal us. Will you help?" We all slept through the night, and by Sunday night were free. I felt free and knew the children felt the same, so, being new in the truth, I sent them back to school in the morning. The principal called and said, "We are sending the children home." I said, "Why?" She said, "They were sent home less than a week ago with a severe case of whooping cough." I said, "All right; but they were healed in Christian Science." She said, "I will come over after school and take them to the health doctor;" which she did. The doctor on examining them found them perfectly free, so they went back in the morning, having lost only one week of school. I am grateful for this healing.
