With a grateful heart I too wish to testify to the rich blessings which have come to me in Christian Science, I have experienced that divine law is present and operative, and stills a hungry heart longing for truth.

From the time I was thirteen until I was nineteen I was a sufferer. I suffered from stomach, nerve, kidney, heart, bladder, and instestinal complaints. These were my daily companions, and to them were added weakness of the abdomen and articular rheumatism. At times every bone in my body pained me. My dear parents did all in their power to help me regain my health. The kind endeavors of physicians brought about temporary improvement, but no healing. Gradually one complaint was added to another.

Discouraged by the experiences I had in these years, I found I was inwardly turning away from that method of treatment. I felt it could not help me, and I told this to my mother. She then told me of some cases of healing which she and her sister experienced in their youth. These had been brought about by prayer. She also told me how, as a child, she had prayed earnestly to God for her mother, who was seriously ill, and that she had recovered. This made such a great impression upon me that I said, "If that could happen to-day I could believe in spiritual healing."
