Peace and Divine Relationship

The world is, and always has been, reaching out for peace and harmony, and most men are looking for some means whereby they may attain that end. Christian Science comes with its sane, demonstrable, practical rules, with its revelation of the ever available law, the law of God, to bring this about. For any result to be logical, practical, provable, it must be governed by perfect law. Our blessed Master, Jesus the Christ, said, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." And in that never-to-be-forgotten Sermon on the Mount he shows the results of blessedness and the means for its attainment.

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and the author of its textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," states on page 353: "Perfection underlies reality. Without perfection, nothing is wholly real. All things will continue to disappear, until perfection appears and reality is reached." Christian Science teaches and proves this, because it understands God to be perfect, omnipresent, all-inclusive good, and man to be the expression of this infinite God—unchanging, intelligent, and always at-one with God.

Christian Science is bringing peace to struggling humanity; it is showing the way to bring into daily human experience that peace which Paul through his obedience to the teachings of Christ Jesus declared "passeth all understanding." Who of us is not striving to live in peace? Who of us is not blessed when he has made his brother happy by a kind deed, an unselfish thought, a healing message of salvation?
