[Written for the Sentinel]

Our Father-Mother

Oh, Father-Mother God!
Oh, name so dear, so blest!
On Thee alone I lean;
In Thee alone I rest.

Oh, hold me close to Thee,
Dear Father-Mother Love;
My joy in Thee is sweet,
All other joys above.

I would commune with Thee,
For Thou alone art Light,
And givest power and strength
To those who seek aright.

Oh, keep me close, dear One;
Whate'er the cross may be,
I'll trustingly rejoice
In being one with Thee.
